Donate to the Collections

The Greater Southwest Historical Museum is continually building its collection of historic and original objects, documents, photographs, and textiles and relating to the culture and history of south central Oklahoma. Donations to the collection continues to strengthen our collection and research holdings

All items from donors are reviewed by Collections Committee with final approval by the Board of Trustees before being accepted, which ensures that the items do not duplicate those already owned by the Museum.

While the Museum collects many things, not all items are appropriate for our collections due to a variety of factors such as provenance, historical significance, size, duplication, or condition.

The Greater Southwest Historical Museum is currently looking for the following donations:

• Photographs, especially images documenting historic downtowns and events
• Historical Documents, especially letters, diaries, and business materials
• Clothing and Textiles
